Mio Ashioki (芦沖 実桜, Ashioki Mio) is a supporting character of Sign of Affection Manga/Anime series. She is the older sister of Oushi Ashioki.

Mio, who is a few years older than Yuki, studies sign language when they were young and would play together with Yuki as kids.

Oushi messages Yuki to meet Mio, his sister who has come home for a short while. Mio says that Yuki has grown up so pretty. She likes her hair color. Oushi reminds her to use sign language. Mio aplogizes, saying that she has forgotten most of it. She tells her younger brother, Oushi to interpret for her.

Mio tells Yuki that she is working at a nursing home They had a deaf person move in recently which made her think about Yuki.

Oushi interprets for Yuki and Mio back and forth for a while. They appear to be having fun. After a while, Mio says that they talked a bunch. She thanks Oushi. She tells them both to teach her stuff next time. Before leaving, she shares her contact details with Yuki. She tels her to video call sometime.

While Yuki is busy on her phone, she tells Oushi that he has been consistent in his sign language studies. She asks him if he was going to translate that to Yuki.

Mio messages Yuki saying that she is in love, isn't she. Yuki messages saying that how she knew. Mio comments saying that she looks so much prettier. Yuki blushes. Mio replies, that she can lend her a ear anytime she wants to talk about it. She asks Yuki that both her young brother and her go to to the same college, so she can order him around. While parting, she tells Oushi to hang in there.

She starts her vehicle and says bye to Yuki, and that she will make sure to brush up on her sign language. With that, she drives away.
