Shin Iryuu (伊柳心, Iryuu Shin) is a supporting character of Sign of Affection.
He is introduced as one of Itsuomi Nagi's friends along with Emma Nakazono, as the three of them went to the same high school. He is also known to have an unrequited love for Emma, up until when he confessed his feelings for her and that he became her boyfriend later on.
History[]
Though there isn't too much revealed in regard to Shin's background, what is known of him was the fact that he, along with Itsuomi and Emma had previously attended the same high school together and have stayed friends until now. In addition, he's shown to have unrequited feelings for Emma, but kept them hidden as he remained supportive of the latter's pursuit with Itsuomi, despite his disinterest in her.
As of now, he works as a hairstylist and decided to pursue this path after graduating high school.
Appearance[]
Shin is an attractive young man who stands a few inches shorter than Itsuomi with shoulder length hair and amethyst, purple-colored eyes.
Originally, his hair was a shade of blondish peach during his introduction with Emma, at the point when they arrived to Itsuomi's job, inebriated. However, the color of his hair changes to silver with lilac purple tips when he meets Yuki for the first time. But when he and Emma begin dating, his hair is blonde. In high school, however, his hair was a lot shorter at nape's length, and his natural color was jet black.
The outfits that Shin is seen wearing are fashionable. Most of his outfits are usually complemented with a pair of tinted shades, whereas he accessorizes with a number of piercings.
Personality[]
Shin is generally known to be composed and laidback. Because he keeps his thoughts and feelings to himself, it's hard to tell what he can be thinking at times, giving him an "unapproachable" vibe. However, when he's with Emma, he's seen to talk just as much, but when he's very much drunk with the latter, he becomes increasingly talkative. To the point where he may not remember much the day after.

Emma[]
Shin had (seemingly) unrequited feelings Emma for long time (ever since they first met in high school), and never planned to confess. However, after Itsuomi who Emma had a crush on started dating Yuki, Shin decided to finally confess, the confession was well received as Emma and Shin were seen in the episode 12 holding hands and Emma asking Shin to go on a date with her.

Shin and Itsuomi have been close friends since High school. Shin often experiments with different hairstyles on his hair as well.
