In the university courtyard, Rin is telling Yuki about her date with Kyôya at the zoo. Rin says that he hasn't proposed yet, asking Yuki if she should ask him the next time, although she is afraid of the answer. Rin asks Yuki what Itsuomi told her when he proposed, making her blush as she remembers. At that moment, Itsuomi appears behind the two, telling her that it is between them, scaring Yuki by his surprise appearance.
Rin decides to leave them alone. While they are eating, Yuki tells him that she has the interview in the afternoon.
Seeing that she is nervous, Itsuomi grabs Yuki's hands and shows her an encouraging gesture and phrase in German (Ich drücke dir die daumen). As she sees that everyone is watching them, she lets go of Itsuomi's hands, but he grabs them again to tease her.
After saying goodbye to Yuki, Itsuomi receives a call from Shin who tells him that he hasn't told Emma yet that Itsuomi has a girlfriend, but that he will tell her on the weekend.
Yuki heads to the job interview. She tells herself Itsuomi's words to calm her nerves. Upon arriving at the cafeteria, she finds the owner of the cafeteria (Aki) waiting for her, who turns out to be Madoka's aunt.
She receives her with signs, and then begins to interview her, as well as asking her how she is doing with the university, since Madoka started working after finishing her studies. Yuki thanks her for the opportunity. Aki tells her that she always wanted to meet Madoka's friends, because when she started the deaf school she became much happier, and at the same time she wanted to return the favor to the people around her.
On the way home from the interview, Yuki stops by the supermarket at her mother's request. When she goes to pay, one of her shop assistants, who is wearing a mask, grabs her basket, scaring her. He starts to talk to her, but she Yuki points out her hearing aid, but he doesn't understand her. Suddenly, Oushi appears and helps her.
Yuki and Oushi leave the supermarket and go home together. Yuki gives him ramen as thanks. Oushi tells him to call him next time, but Yuki tells him that there is no need, and noticing that he is more friendly than normal, she asks him what's wrong. At that moment she receives a message from Itsuomi congratulating her.
Oushi, who was observing Yuki's reaction, begins to bombard her with questions in sign language. Yuki is surprised that he knows that they are dating, and that the other day Oushi drank with Itsuomi. Yuki asks if they are friends now, but Oushi flatly says no. He warns her that if he ever makes her cry, she should tell him to confront him, because he hates him.
Yuki comments that it's impossible to hate him because of his kindness, Just as she was about to finish her sentence, Oushi grabs Yuki's hand and prevents her from continuing to sign. But realizing that he may have hurt her, he apologizes to her, and they continue walking.
Yuki wonders if Oushi has become a person she doesn't know.
