" Resolution" is the twenty-first chapter of A Sign of Affection Manga series. It has been compiled within volume 6, and is written and illustrated by Suu Morishita.

Plot

On the way home after the date, Yuki and Itsuomi take the train home. While Yuki is thinking that the return trip is getting too short, the train begins to fill up. To prevent her from being crushed, Itsuomi shields Yuki without touching her towards the opposite train door.

The train starts moving, and two high school girls collide with Itsuomi. When they see him, they turn red. Yuki thinks that it's not strange that this happened, since Itsuomi is attractive. Feeling watched, she looks up, meeting the gaze of Itsuomi, who has been staring at her without her noticing, blushing. Itsuomi questions her, but Yuki responds with signs that it is a secret. Itsuomi insists on knowing what the secret is, but Yuki refuses to tell.

Upon arriving home, Yuki begins to read Itsuomi's message about why he goes abroad alot.

About 16 years ago, Itsuomi moved to Germany when he was only 6 years old.

At first he felt like he was on a trip, since the houses, trains, supermarkets and everything there were different from Japan, which made it exciting and fun, but Itsuomi begins to feel the difficulty of the language and cultural differences. He felt nostalgia and desired to return to Japan. He couldn't say it in front of his father, because he didn't want him to see him as a baby.

One day, when Itsuomi was studying German in the schoolyard, a soccer ball rolled at his feet. A boy asks for the ball, and upon giving it back, Itsuomi summons the courage to tell, in German, the boy that he wants to play. He accepts, and introduces himself as Johannes, who became one of his best friends.

After that, he began to think that he wanted to use the language, and not just memorize it.

Itsuomi's father suggests they should get on a plane and go somewhere for his birthday. Itsuomi becomes very happy, and wanted to go as far as they could.

Returning to the present, Yuki continues reading the message.

The message goes on to say that from that day on, the meaning of getting on a plane changed for him, and that the reason he goes abroad is because he wants to learn about the cultures and languages of other countries, and teach it to children, so that knowledge becomes a shield.

After reading Itsuomi's message, Yuki learns that Itsuomi has a dream, and that he wants to work abroad. She doesn't deny that she worries about their future together, but also thinks that he's cool.

At that Yuki realizes that it doesn't explain what happened on the trip.

She wonders about this. Meanwhile, Itsuomi is saying goodbye to Kyôya, while he is looking at his tattoo.

Yuki notices that the message continues. It's a photo of her. Itsuomi scolds her for not paying attention to her for being absorbed in taking photos of flowers. He continues his message by telling her that. He tells her that earlier that he would be fine if they could see each other for 2-3 hours. The truth was that he wanted to see her even if it was for five or ten minutes.

Yuki notices her heart pounding with each message. She continues reading his messages, which was a confession of love, asking her to tell him and teach her everything, because she adores her.

Yuki loses strength at Itsuomi's loving words, and wonders how he could be so calm after sending her all these messages. He wants to learn more about her and wants to know everything. He wants her to tell him everything as everything about her is beloved to him. Yuki gets flustered after reading this so much so that she doesn't know how she will be able to respond to him after this.

At the University, Oushi is with his friends, Batayan and Mitoki. Mitoki accuses Oushi of being weird about a girl. They asks him what kind of girl he likes when they sees that he doesn´t deny the accusation. Oushi stops and tells them that it is a really cute girl.

At that moment, Batayan murmurs that there is a beauty at the entrance of the university. It turns urns out to be Emma, who appears to be waiting for Itsuomi.
