Plot[]
The morning after the neighbor incident, Yuki wakes up in bed, and finds Itsuomi beside him, who had been sleeping on the couch. Surprised, Yuki turns around blushing, but she turns to ask him the reason for his presence.
Itsuomi replies that he was sleeping on the couch, but he couldn't sleep, and went to bed with her. He asks if he can sleep with her from now on, to which Yuki nods.
As they have breakfast together and prepare to leave, they talk about Tasuku, who is Yuu's older brother, and their neighbor, who they met yesterday.
Yuu is Itsuomi's fellow backpacker. They met in Taiwan, they met in the United Kingdom, they are the same age, and their places of origin were close to each other.
Apparently, Yuu's older brother is an amateur filmmaker, and when he tried to take a photograph of a bird's nest, which was on top of the elevator, he fell.
Heading to college, Yuki is worried about how the girls will look at him
Itsuomi brings his face closer to Yuki and says, "If something happens, let me know as soon as possible." That's when Itsuomi sees a lost child, and puts his hand on his head. This reminds Yuki of when they first met, and she asks if he does it often.
Itsuomi realizes that it can be a problem, since he does it unconsciously with people who need protection or encouragement. Yuki shows him not to worry, since she is strong and powerful.
Itsuomi thinks that she is also pretty, and that her eyes are also expressive, so he decides not to hide anything else from her.
Itsuomi asks Yuki if she remembers the story he told her about his childhood. Yuki, who had been smiling happily, adopted a serious expression.
Seeing this, Itsuomi promises to tell her when they returns home.
That night, Yuki and Itsuomi sit across from each other on the rug in the living room. Itsuomi, after drawing some cards and receiving support from Yuki, begins to talk about the trip he took with his father when he was seven years old.
He got on a plane with his father, visiting tourist spots in the country his father had chosen. However, what remained in Itsuomi's mind during that trip was not the plane or the ruins, but the children her age who were there.
They were thin, their clothes were in tatters, and they begged with their little hands.
When Itsuomi returned to Germany, he started researching children in developing countries. He then comes across a blog written by a Japanese man.
The blogger's name is Kousei, and he was active in the Philippines, taking street children to orphanages and providing them with an educational opportunity.
Itsuomi tells Yuki that he has always admired Kosei ever since, and shows her a photo of him, Kousei, and Yuu, since they are mutual acquaintances.
When Yuki sees Itsuomi talking about Kousei, she thinks he has a "really nice expression", and even thinks Itsuomi seems a little childish.
Itsuomi's expression changes slightly, beginning to delve into the story.
