Plot[]
Since Yuki is being covered by Itsuomi, she has not seen the conversation between Itsuomi and Ôshi, and does not understand why Ôshi is looking at them angrily and Itsuomi is upset.
Yuki asks him if something happened, but Itsuomi evades the question. Looking over his arm, she watches Ôshi leave and signing her "Idiot."
Although Itsuomi was upset, when he looks at Yuki he relaxes, and smiles at her. Yuki doesn't insist on asking.
Meanwhile, Kyôya and Rin are waiting for them in Kyôya's car. Not knowing what to talk about, Kyôya tells Rin about her concern about Yuki and her love for Itsuomi. He tells her Itsuomi's dream of working at a school way up in the mountains, teaching children about the world. He also wonders about what kind of kindness he has for Yuki. At that moment, they see them coming with Yuki being grabbed by her wrist, because they almost ran her over, and how he behaves towards her when he gets into her car.
Unable to hear, she does not realize that their voices may have nuances that indicate intent. At the shop, Kyôya tells Yuki that when Itsuomi calls her name, he says it in a gentle voice. Yuki wonders if Itsuomi's voice sound different from normal. She wonders what his usual voice sounds like. Itsuomi asks Yuki if she has gone abroad, but she denies it, although she tells him that deaf people have no problem traveling abroad, since they communicate by gestures. Itsuomi confesses that this is fine, and that what matters is the intention, as she did the first time they met. And that the next time he goes abroad, he will pack her in his carry-on. Yuki texts him that she doesn't want to be a burden, but Itsuomi denies it as he smiles at her. Yuki wonders that everything Itsuomi says flies in and hits her straight in the heart. She wonders in what voice he would have said it.
After finishing shopping at Costco, Itsuomi suggests to Rin that she ask Kyôya if they want to go back alone in the car, since he knows that she has a crush on him. Yuki, left alone with Itsuomi, musters up the courage to invite him to lunch. Yuki is surprised that he understood her without difficulty.
Itsuomi signs "I'm going home." Thinking that he had rejected her, Yuki becomes depressed, but Itsuomi stops her, because his intention was to go to his house together to eat with him.
Upon reaching his place, Itsuomi tells her that his family lives abroad, and that he lives alone. Yuki gets extremely nervous.
As she sits on the ground, she notices a shell from a macadamia nut, although she doesn't know what it is. Itsuomi tells her what it is, and feeds it to her. She reminded him of a squirrel, so he gives her more. At that, he asks her if she had fun. Yuki makes the sign to him for "fun", and Itsuomi approaches her, and holds her arms, signing her "I had fun too." He sits next to Yuki and puts his arm around her. He shows her the screen of his cell phone, where he asks her if anyone has ever told her that being with her makes them sleepy. That is, if they feel relaxed around her.
Yuki denies it, but Itsuomi confesses that he does feel relaxed around her, which makes her blush. She ponders that Itsuomi arms are holding her so tightly that it makes her mind go blank. As she thinks about him, she starts leaning onto his arm.
